GETTING TRAINED

hello all

here i am 4 days into the ILP. first 2 days were sort of introducion ceremony n document verifications. but now the classes hv started n m enjoying it very much(till now)..i dont hv much time right now so i will write more when i get the time...byee

JOURNEY ABOUT TO BEGIN

HELLO GUYS..
here i m again...leaving for bhubaneshwar tomorrow(27th aug) morning..
just have to pack a few things now...

to tell the truth m a bit nervous n excited at the same time..looking forward to meet new people n ofcourse a few old ones..i m also a bit apprehensive about the things m supposed to do at the ILP such as programming n all....how is one supposed to learn all about software engineering in just 2 months..comp guys have a clear advantage over us non-IT guys..but i think its normal..after all loads of non-IT students have completed their ILP n working in TCS...though i think i will have to really study this time unlike in college....lets hope all goes well..

another thing is that there r a lot of places near bhubaneshwar to visit...and i am really looking forward to pay a visit to those places..

well today i am not going to write a long blog as there is not much to write about...but i will write about the place and the ILP in the coming blogs...logging off now..

counting the days

this is the first time i m writing a blog..never thought i would do it..to tell honestly m too lazy to waste my precious time on these sort of things(as my friends who read this post will agree).

I am about to join TCS on 29th august.. My ILP is at bhubaneshwar and thats what prompted me to do this unthinkable thing..I must admit writing a blog requires time and patience,both of which i rather have in short supply...

my college ended around may end and from that time i have been stranded in my home at mumbai..people will say that how can u not enjoy in mumbai...but i say that the place doesnt matter as long as u have your friends around u...It is strange that very few from my batch were from mumbai...n the close friends i have r from bihar,jharkhand,UP n MP..all of them have already joined their respective companies n i suppose m the only one remaining..

the last 3 months have been a new experience for me...sitting around in my home,visiting relatives,movies,net n tv have been the only things that i have done in these months..

i have a few friends in here but they were busy in their colleges n work...so here i was left all alone to wait for an iternity....hoping that one fine day i will receive a mail from TCS telling me about y joining date..everyday i woke up wishing to god that today might b the day..n everyday i went to sleep hoping that maybe tomorrow....almost 2 months passed like that...my frustration had surpassed all bounds....my only respite was that i was able to spend time with my family which i hadnt been able to since i finished my 12th..it also gave me the opportunity to go n visit my relatives n old school friends in ranchi n patna..

one day while doing my usual chores(read orkutting and scanning the tcs community) i saw that a guy from my college has posted that he has got the joining date.....i felt the blood rushing through my veins..with mounting excitement i opened my inbox only to find my hopes n excitement coming crashing to the ground....NO MAIL..
 i started contacting my friends.few of them said they have got it n few said they havent....
it was friday n they got their joining date as 13th aug@noida...i thought that maybe i will get on monday as saturday n sunday were non-working days....
But it was not to be....no mail on monday,none on tuesday...my frustration had reached a peak level....i even thought of applying in a different company...but ofcourse i was too lazy to go through all the tests n interview all over again...
the TCS HR were of no help..every time i called them they had the same reply..."u will get in the coming week"...

i had again resigned to my fate n returned to my normal daily routine..

Then the day arrived...i think it was 18th july...i opened my inbox n there it was....A MAIL FROM ILP SUPPORT.. i opened it praying to god that it had the joining date....yes it had...
it said i had my ILP from 29th august @bhubaneshwar...

i still had more than 1 month to go but atleast i had a fixed date..i was luckier than some people who have joining as late as october n november(some hv in december too).

TIME passed n here i m..today is 23th august...i m leaving on 27th to bhubaneshwar...all the documents ready n shopping completed...

Really excited to enter the IT world..heard the ILP@BBSR is a paid holiday...i hope it is so...

i dont know when i would b writing next..i would try to write another blog before i leave for the ILP...but even i dont count on myself....
